Mobile Crane Safety Camera System
Challenges in Mobile Crane Management
The operational process of mobile cranes presents challenges due to their elongated body, with vehicles stretching over 18 meters long, making driving difficult and creating numerous blind spots, leading to potential traffic safety accidents. The wide body of the crane makes it challenging to maneuver through narrow roads, increasing the risk of collisions, and during operations, there is a high chance of pedestrians entering the lifting area. Controlling vehicles within the enterprise is difficult, and ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety regulations is challenging. Unauthorized use of vehicles by drivers for personal tasks further compounds management issues.
Mobile Crane Camera System
To address these issues, China YUWEI has developed a proprietary mobile crane safety camera system solution. It incorporates an intelligent vehicle management system to automatically detect and alert drivers to their driving status. It covers blind spots around the mobile crane with video surveillance and employs AI to detect and warn of pedestrian intrusions, helping drivers understand the surrounding blind spots in advance, thereby preventing accidents and ensuring precise and safe operations. Cloud-based driver control offers practical onboard monitoring solutions tailored to different vehicle types, facilitating driver operation, improving construction safety, and enhancing safety management levels to ensure precise vehicle management.
Hardware Configuration of Mobile Crane Camera System:
- 4-channel mobile DVR
- Intelligent DMS camera
- Waterproof and dustproof rearview camera
- Sensors, radar
Functions of the Mobile Crane Camera System:
1. Blind Spot Pedestrian Detection and Warning System
Cloud-based driver control blind spot monitoring system (BSD): Utilizing deep learning models trained on extensive blind spot video and image data, it accurately identifies pedestrians in blind spots on the right, rear, and front of large vehicles, promptly alerting both drivers and pedestrians to take precautions. It can support up to four channels of BSD pedestrian detection warning systems.
2. Remote Real-Time Video Monitoring of Mobile Crane
Video monitoring enables 4G remote transmission of vehicle video to monitoring terminals or mobile phones, facilitating remote video monitoring of vehicle operations for supervisory personnel.
3. GPS Positioning System for Mobile Crane
Real-time collection of vehicle GPS information enables accurate determination of whether vehicles are within designated areas. Different icons display various vehicle statuses such as driving online, idling, offline, vehicle speed, positioning status, etc., serving as baseline data for basic monitoring and subsequent business operations.
4. Historical Trajectory Information of Mobile Crane
Real-time collection of vehicle GPS information accurately tracks vehicle movements. Continuous plotting of historical driving data, including speed, position, and statistical analysis of vehicle movement.
5. Voice Intercom and Instruction Dispatch Management for Mobile Crane
Cloud-based driver control onboard monitoring system supports batch vehicle intercom function, allowing the monitoring center to make voice calls to all managed vehicles, with drivers passively answering and responding. When vehicles are overspeeding or driving improperly or fatigued, voice intercom calls can be made through the system at any time to remind drivers. It also supports text-to-voice playback for batch vehicle dispatch, facilitating dispatching of multiple vehicles.
6. Area Electronic Fence Alarm for Mobile Crane
Cloud-based driver control onboard monitoring system supports vehicle speed detection and sets pre-warning speed limits. It monitors and warns of overspeeding for each vehicle and reminds drivers in the cabin to slow down through voice prompts. The area electronic fence function alerts when vehicles leave designated areas, allowing for the setting of vehicle activity ranges within specified areas and issuing alerts when vehicles enter or leave these areas, aiding enterprise vehicle management.
7. Data Visualization Management for Mobile Crane
Statistics of vehicle mileage, duration, work, position, violations, etc., provide insights into the development trends of various data, serving as a reference for managers. The system supports multi-dimensional dynamic analysis and data extraction, enabling multi-dimensional penetration extraction of reports to better discover and analyze problems, providing effective support for fleet managers.
